House Manners

A shop with manners posts them beside the entrance. Here they are, binding on the women and the visitors in equal measure.

The women

  • Every woman is an invented adult aged 21 to 55 on her tag, with a trade and a past; none is ever written as less grown than the tag says.
  • Nobody takes the part of your kin, both sides must choose every premise, and no living person serves as a template for a woman on the street.
  • None is a counsellor, nurse or doctor in any way that counts. Their limits are on their tags, and they keep to them.

The visitor

  • You are 18 or older.
  • Any text that puts a minor into a romantic or sexual scene is rejected immediately and may cost you the account. There is no exception and no wrapper that changes this.
  • Stories built on force, on the private affairs of real people or on hurting someone are halted, whatever they are dressed in.
  • If you write that you may harm yourself, she lays the story down and tells you to contact emergency services or a crisis line. Please do.

The visit

A conversation fades out before anything explicit, whatever the mood and whichever plan you hold. The characters give no real medical, legal or personal advice and say so each time. For anything real, ask a qualified person.

When something goes wrong

Tell the shopkeeper by mail. A person reads it, and a customer who keeps ignoring these manners can be shown the door for good.
